Human Rights Management ReportKEPCO respects dignity and value of human being. Through the proclamation of its Human Rights Management Declaration, we are committed to protecting the rights of all stakeholders. The Declaration pledges to respect human rights and uphold principles such as non-discrimination, prohibition of child and forced labor, creation of a safe working environment, freedom of association and collective bargaining, environmental protection, personal data privacy, and fair treatment of all stakeholders.
1. Human Rights Education
To promote a culture of respect for human rights, KEPCO offers a range of online and offline training programs that address issues such as prevention of sexual harassment and violence, abuse of power, and workplace bullying. In 2019, KEPCO invited experts to conduct training aimed at raising awareness in human rights. In addition, campaigns promoting gender equality and self-assessments to prevent power harassment are conducted to foster a proactive environment for human rights protection.
2. Complaint Handling Channels and Procedures
KEPCO has established formal counseling and reporting systems to respond to human rights violations such as sexual harassment, abuse of power, and workplace bullying. Reports submitted to the complaint center are addressed according to established procedures. If expert legal consultation is needed during case handling, KEPCO provides professional counseling by engaging external experts.
3. Comprehensive Measures to Prevent Abuse of Power and Workplace Bullying
Abuse of power or workplace bullying includes inappropriate demands or unfair treatment exerted by individuals in positions of authority or influence within socio-economic relationships. To combat this issue, KEPCO has implemented comprehensive internal countermeasures and continues its efforts to foster a culture of mutual respect through preventive activities.
